'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Brogan - 'only the best'

Rotherham United's young defender, Stephen Brogan will get only the best treatment going after breaking his leg in two places during Saturday's draw at stadium:mk.

After going on the pitch while the nineteen year old was receiving treatment and holding his hand, manager, Mark Robins, promised that Stephen would only get the best possible treatment.

The defender was clattered by Don's 'keeper, Willy Gueret, who was heartbroken in the dressing room afterwards, ten minutes into the second half and was taken to Milton Keynes hospital where he successfully came through an operation yesterday and is already on his way to recovery. His parents, who were at the game, went to hospital with him and stopped with him overnight. Paul Hurst also went with him and Mark Robins travelled back to Milton Keynes yesterday to see him.

In his post match interview, Robins was obviously shaken and said, 'Football comes secondary when you see something like this happens.'

Today, speaking to The Star, he said, 'It is so disappointing when there's a serious injury and all the players are upset for him. I was proud of how the players responded afterwards.

'Stephen will be a big miss for us - he's a local lad who loves to play for his home side and he's played all but one game for us this season. I am sure we will see him back in a Millers shirt next season.'

Once again, all at Rotherham Vital send our best wishes to Paddy, as he is affectionately known to Millers fans.
