RUFC - 'Everyone had an off day'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins says everyone had an off day after last night's shock defeat at home to Stockport.

Speaking to the Official Site, he said, 'I don't want to have a go at everybody - but it's difficult not to.

'You try and come out with some positives from the game but today everybody had an off day. We conceded three goals in the second half - we have to defend better than that.

'I felt we got back into it when we equalised and we felt quite happy that we'd turned the game round a little bit at the end of the first half. Then we had a great chance at the start of the second half when their 'keeper saved it and it went over the bar but then they went down the other end and scored.

'All night we couldn't defend crosses and it was difficult to get close to them. But give credit to Stockport, their movement was excellent and at times, they taught us a lesson and, in the end, were good value for their win. In terms of conceding goals it's the worst performance all season and we have to come back from it. We have to gather ourselves quickly for the game at Wycombe on Saturday. We had a bad day at the office but there's been one or two of them lately and we have to get them out of our system - one or two of the players looked tired and that's something for me to consider.

'We will regroup, put this game to the back of our minds quickly and look forward to the next one.'

According to The Star Robins has moved to bring in West Ham defender, Joe Widdowson on loan. The lad is nineteen years old and has come through The Hammers Academy.

I think it's the worst game Coughlan has had in a Millers shirt.

I woul dlike to think County played their part. 8 wins in the last 9 or 10 I think. See you in L1 next season perhaps?
