RUFC - Ref Watch v Wycombe

Mr GRANT K HEGLEY from Bishop Stortford, Herts

Grant who was born on 10th November 1964 started refereeing in 1980 and made the Football League assistant referees list in 1992.
During his time as assistant ref he ran the line at Wembley for the 1999 Autowindscreen Shield final between Millwall and Wigan.
He was promoted to the National list of Referees in 2001.

His last 3 games in charge of Rotherham games have seen differing fortunes for the Millers.
Last time out was in November last year when we beat Grimsby 2-1 at Millmoor.
Grimsby's Nick Fenton was sent off that night for a second bookable offence.
His previous appointment was for the 4-0 thumping of Blackpool at Millmoor in August 2005, when just the visitors Danny Coid saw yellow.
Prior to that was the 2-1 defeat at West Ham in January 2004.
Only the Millers Paul Warne was booked in that game.

So far this season Grant has shown great leniancy with only 22 yellows been shown in 16 games, and just that one Red card at Millmoor.

Grant Hegley will be assisted at Wycombe by....

He seems a decent ref - not handed many cards out. Mind you, they all seem to have a mental block of how to be a referee when they see us!
