RUFC - Robins not panicking

Rotherham United have dropped out of the automatic promotion places and into fifth place this week after only picking up one point in the last four games, but manager, Mark Robins says there is no need to panic.

Speaking to The Advertiser, he said, 'We've been saying all season that this team is a work in progress and the players need time to develop. I'm not about to attack the players, they've done fantastic this season. Even though we are on a poor run I don't think we are playing particularly poorly and we will keep working hard.

'We've done well in terms of goal scoring this season with the midfield weighing in with a few and as long as you are scoring you are giving yourself a chance, and, we are scoring and creating chances, we just need to take more of them. Darlington have spent a lot of money and only keep winning one-nil, now that would worry me more.

'I'm happy with the players I've got but it's true I am looking around. But, if I want to bring in someone better than what we've got it's going to cost a fair few quid.'

Speaking about Joe Widdowson, the nineteen year old brought in on loan from West Ham, Robins said, 'Coming from West Ham I expect him to be a good passer of the ball. He's a good prospect and not frightened of a battle and he has come highly recommended.'

tbh, I'd settle for winning every match 1-0 from now until the end of the season

Results not going for you at the moment and the last home defeat was a stinker of a result. Still think you will make the play-offs!
