RUFC - Robins Frustrated

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, was frustrated after yesterday's defeat at Wycombe and admitted to the Official Site that the team have fallen short lately and have to get back to winning ways.

'I don't think there was much between the teams and the first goal was going to be crucial but I am frustrated that we lost to a goal from a set piece,' he said. 'What also frustrated me was some of our movement and the lack of quality although I felt we were in the game. We are just looking where the next goal is coming from.

'I thought the performance was OK at times and we created one or two openings - Danny Harrison was unfortunate not to score in the first half.

'Collectively we are a bit down and we have to get peoples heads up and focussed. We don't want to dwell on the defeat. Confidence is a state of mind and if people believe they won't score then the likelihood is they won't. We have to be looking for things and not expecting them to drop for us. We have to make things happen. We lacked quality at times yesterday but the belief in front of goal from the strikers should be there.

'We have fallen short of late but there are games left and we have to put it right. It's time to knuckle down and get as much out of the players as possible. It's time to look at the younger players. With Paul Hurst going off to Burton today young Jamie Green got his chance and came on as sub. He's been waiting for his chance and he did OK when he came on.

'We have to be ready for the next game and every game we will want to win. It's a frame of mind and I am still confident.

'But, many more performances like this and we will be looking up where we have been and it would be a shame to throw all the hard work away.'
