RUFC - Stadium Talks Go Ahead

Rotherham United's Board yesterday released a press statement saying they had filed notice to appoint an administrator, citing Inland Revenue Debts as the main problem.

Doom and Gloom again around Millmoor as the prospect of having ten points taken away at the end of the season looms. Having done this once under ex-manager, Alan Knill, it was something every fan hoped never to have to do again. Apart from a recent blip Mark Robins had the team fighting to get out of the bottom division and the Millers fans had started to see a light at the end of the tunnel - until yesterday.

But, there is a pinprick of light on the horizon as it seems the Council are still planning to have talks about the Community Stadium.

RotherFM have said today that it is thought the Council knew the problems that the club were having but they want to reassure people of the town that this won't affect the new ground and talks are set to continue.

All the club needs now is for a serious investor to step forward and take hold of the reins - let's hope this happens sooner rather than later.
