RUFC - Millers wait on Holmes

Rotherham United striker, Derek Holmes limped off in the first half of their win over Lincoln on Saturday with an ankle injury.

The twenty-nine year old is a major doubt for tomorrows game at Valley Parade and it looks like Mark Robins will only have seventeen experienced players to pick from.

Robins spoke to The Star saying, 'It was a blow when Derek went off but I think we coped well.

'The supporters got behind us which is what we needed - they were excellent and I am sure they will be travelling to Bradford in their droves tomorrow night.'

Talking about the free kick, taken by Ian Ross, that led to the first goal - a cracking shot from Marc Joseph - the manager said, 'We do work on our free kicks in training but we'd had that one in our locker all season and it came off. It wasn't a fluke either it was top quality.'

I think so too - I didn't think Holmes had had a particularly good game even before he got injured on Saturday
