Fans to finance striker ?

There has been much talk in recent weeks about bringing in a striker but we all know that the club is strapped for cash and we havn`t the proverbial pott to p*ss in so would it be a good idea for the fans to pitch in or not. All it would cost is maybe £2 each between say 1,000 fans and we could maybe get a player that could secure us at least a play off place. I know we have all dug deep in recent times and we are all feeling rather complacent this time round but is it realy a great amount to ask ? I would throw my £2 in and i know others would but you have to ask yourself would enough people be prepared to give it a go or is it a step too far this time?

Well, you know I'd do my bit - but, as you say, are people fed up of forking out? I did wonder if all us who have season tickets offered to buy them now - would that help at all?
