RUFC - O'Grady can get more goals

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has told The Star that he thinks Chris O'Grady can score more goals.

The twenty-two year old scored his seventh League goal against Bradford last week and Robins thought he played the best he'd played for a while and said, 'If he wants to take that into the next games he can because he has ability, if he can't then all it is, is his frame of mind.

'With his last three goals being away from home I'm sure he'll be doing his best to score in front of the home crowd. Not that it matters who scores as long as we get it in and keep a clean sheet at the other end.'

The Millers have not kept a clean sheet at home since new Years Day against Macclesfield and failed again on Saturday against Accrington.

One of the important things in my mind is that we are not taking our chances. Glaring misses again on Saturday in a dull game when it looked easier to score than not. The manager has said that off-field matters aren't affecting the players but, to be honest, I think it has to be in the back of their minds. All season I've been saying someone is going to get a right tonking from us - on Saturday's performance I really can't see that happening now. I hope I'm wrong. I hope we go to Shrewsbury and Bury and score a hat full of goals. But, if that's going to happen then the midfield have to be getting the balls into the box for the strikers to get on the end of and the strikers have to be up there and not hanging back. Otherwise, we can say goodbye to the play-offs - and that really would be a big disappointment after all the hard work at the beginning of the season.
