'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mark Robins Rips Apart Team

Mark Robins told the official last night that he was 'embarrassed' by the performance against Bury labelling it 'absolute garbage.'

The Rotherham boss continued, 'it was the worst performance I have seen and that includes the Accrington Stanley game that was inept.'

'I am embarrassed and I think that tonight proved that we are not good enough, we are a million miles from being good enough. That was against a team that are looking at relegation and we looked like relegation fodder, it was embarrassing and it has to be sorted out. I would rather play the kids than watch that, it was that poor tonight. I feel for the supporters who had travelled and I apologise on behalf of myself and the players. I am annoyed because I shouldn't be having to do that.'

He also says the players are meant to be paid professionals and when they don't do their job it's a disgrace.

I would have hated to have been in the dressing room if that is what he is saying publicly, what did he say in private?

The worst part is he accused the team of playing 'as if they don't care' and also admits the buck stops with him if the team don't perform. Ending, 'I will think about extra training. We lacked application, fight and enthusiasm, we weren't up for it and that level of performance just cannot be accepted.'

Wonder if there are any tea cups left in the dressing rooms?
