Rotherham United Chairman Denis Colman has said he wants someone to takover the club who has some 'financial clout'.
Mr Coleman has snubbed suggestions that he is involved with the Irish Consortium who are trying to gain control of the club, although, he says he is in daily contact with them and was sat with one of their representatives at the Easter Monday game at Rochdale.
He told The Advertiser that his only concern is that the Administrator finds the best most able people to help the Millers and give the club a better future.
Speaking about the bid by Irish millionaire, Anthony McMullen he said, 'I have no connection with Anthony McMullen and the first time I met him was, ironically on St Patrick's Day, although he had phoned me a few days before. This consortium are football mad and are keen to get involved with a football club. They want to build a new ground which would include facilities like hotels. That's the way they want to go and I think that's the correct way to do it.
'I am still open to speaking to anyone interested in helping the club but, what I would say, is that there is no point in people coming in just to help the club survive. It needs someone with proper investment or we will be in the same situation in two years time. Regardless of who it is I would rather someone came in who has financial clout to give the club a better future.'
Mr Coleman says he has had parties interested but only if he stopped on at the forefront but he is unsure of whether he wants to carry on in any capacity at Millmoor saying, 'I want to see Rotherham United's future secure.'
