RUFC - Facing 15 point deduction

If it's not enough losing ten points this season there is a possibility that, with the club going into administration, Rotherham United will have to begin next season on minus fifteen points.

It all lies in whether the club can successfully negotiate a Company Voluntary Arrangement like they did two years ago.

The Advertiser says that the clubs creditors will soon be asked to take so many pence in the pound as part of a CVA to get the club back out of administration - if this happens there won't be any further points penalty from the Football League. But, for this to happen, the club needs seventy-five percent of the people who are owed money to agree to it. This will be an uphill task as it is doubtful that the Inland Revenue, who are the biggest creditor, will agree to this.

If it doesn't happen then the club will be sold to the highest bidder which would probably trigger of the fifteen point penalty next season.

Manager, Mark Robins, yesterday said this would be 'devastating.'

Please note - the report does say 'possible' - but, personally, I don't think it's probable

As Mark says, 'devastating', just where is it all going to end?
