'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Post Morecambe

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins
was depressed this evening after watching his side lose five-one to Morecambe.

'I thought that at the Rochdale game last week we did OK until the last ten minutes or so,' he told the Official Site,'but today we never even started the game.

'Our goal was scant consolation for a performance that was very poor. Their lad, Thompson, murdered us and it was unfortunate that Jamie Green had to play against him in his first full game for us but I hope it will stand him in good stead.

'Andy Warrington had a couple of good saves that kept the score down but I have told all the players that, whatever else is happening around the place, it was unacceptable. It was embarassing and it is as low as I have felt. They put the ball behind us three times and scored three goals and that is basic.

'I felt embarrased for the supporters who were singing my name today and embarrased to wave back to them. It's been a bad, bad week and a shocking day.'
