RUFC - Last Chance for O'Grady
Rotherham United striker, Chris O'Grady has a final chance today to sign a wage deferral, like the rest of his team mates have, or else, his career at Rotherham is effectively over.
O'Grady, twenty-three, wanted to keep his options open on Friday and refused to sign the notice and was sent home by manager, Mark Robins and wasn't with the squad at Morecambe on Saturday.
Speaking to The Star, Robins said, 'He gave me no option but to leave him out of the squad and we will have to wait and see what he does now. If he is intent on going somewhere else, after fourteen days he will be a free agent but he won't be able to play for anyone again this season.
'After the conversation I'd had with him the day before I was surprised at his decision but it's his entitlement. Everyone else signed the deferral but he declined.'
The players are expected to get fifty per cent of their wages for March today with the PFA contributing a further amount.
