'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - O'Grady's Reserve Appearance

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, doesn't want to discuss the 'Chris O'Grady situation' but he told The Star why Chris O'Grady appeared for the Reserves yesterday after saying he had left Millmoor.

Contrary to reports that the striker had done a U-turn and signed the wage deferral, the striker was ordered by Robins to report for the game yesterday afternoon.

Explaining his actions, Robins said, 'He is under contract at this football club and, although he didn't come to training on Monday, I told him to turn up for the reserve game.

'I will not let this club be walked all over. I shall try and do my best and make sure that no one takes advantage of the club in it's present predicament.'

The Reserves beat Lincoln City 2-1.

not sure what to make of this mes, i can see both sides of the story, a bloke would not go down the pit if he was not getting his full wage
