'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Latest Poll Result

Rotherham United are a club in crisis - everyone keeps telling us so it must be true.

Yesterday, the Administrator, Jeremy Bleazard said although there have been no formal bids made for the club, there were eight interested parties - some of which have been ruled out already for not proving they had enough cash to put into the club to save it.

Of these eight interested groups, I believe there are only really three who will, by next Friday, have put in a bid.

I asked on a poll Who Would YOU Rather Take Over At Millmoor and the results were:

Anyone as long as we have a team (46%)
Maccio/Cartledge (28%)
The Irish Consortium (15%)
The Brilliant Advice Group (11%)

The majority of voters don't seem to care who takes over the Millers as long as there is a football club to go to next season. Which is perhaps is a good thing as it shows that people go to watch Rotherham United whoever is there.

Amongst all the doom and gloom going round Millmoor at the moment I do believe, and I am definitely in the minority here, that we will survive - just. And, I think whoever does get the club will have some fences to mend to get the fans on side and gain their trust. I want to suggest to them that they don't keep the fans in the dark. If they do find things aren't going to plan I want them to tell us and not to brush it under the carpet.

I know what we don't want is someone to come in with very little backing, keep us afloat for 18 months and then announce that we have gone into administration, therefore having to start back at square one - because I don't think we would survive again.

I think most people have an idea of who they'd like in charge at Millmoor, I know I have, but like everyone else, we will just have to wait and see.
