RUFC - Cahill to Start?

Rotherham United are under a bit of pressure today to go out and win against Brentford and it is possible that Manager, Mark Robins, will start with striker, Tom Cahill.

Twenty-one year old Cahill joined the Millers in the summer from Matlock Town and has recently been on loan at Altrincham.

He came on for the second half last Saturday in the 5-1 mauling at Morecambe and brought a bit of life to the side. He also scored in the Reserve win over Lincoln mid-week.

As The Yorkshire Post rightly says, the manager isn't exactly overloaded with options up front with Chris O'Grady not very likely to feature after refusing to sign the wage deferral.

I thought Cahill did well on Saturday - it can't have been easy coming on at 4-1 down, but he seemed to handle it well.

I, for one, hope he starts.

i can see him starting with big Derek up front

i played footy at uni with him, the boy is class. allround striker - strong, quick, good back-to-goal, decent finisher. its just so hard to get a chance in a football league side, let alone make an impression when given those rare chances. If he gets a run of games he will come good.
