'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Virus hits Millers

With the Rotherham United squad already down to the bare bones, there comes news of a virus going through Millmoor.

Jamie Yates had to pull out on Saturday before the Brentford game and Ian Ross was taken off at half-time and sent home ill.

Neither Ross or Yates were at the training ground yesterday.

Pablo Mills, who had taken a knock on Friday and also had an eye injury, was close to missing the Brentford game too.

Manager, Mark Robins, told The Star, 'The players had a really good session yesterday and there was a good spirit about the place. It is hard for everybody. The players, manager and supporters are all suffering.'

With Jamie Yates being out it gave young David Haggerty a chance to be involved in the first team for the first time.

'It was a good experience for him to be involved,' Robins said, 'If I have to, I will call up youngsters, but we are down to the bare bones in terms of numbers.'
