RUFC - Oxley Sale Could Help

Rotherham United could help ease their financial worries by selling off the only 'live' asset they have in young goalkeeper, Mark Oxley.

The seventeen year old, who has been called up for the England U18 side, has had several clubs watching him, manager, Mark Robins, told The Advertiser.

'Under normal circumstances we would not let him go,' Robins said, 'but, with the situation like it is, we need the money.

'I brought Mark to the club and always knew how good a 'keeper he'd be and we will be sorry to see him go.'

Rumour has it that Sunderland and Aston Villa have been interested in Oxley, although the manager played down rumours of a £250,000 move to Villa Park, but said that he does want a fee for him.
