RUFC - Robins 'Just what we needed'

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, was upbeat after the Millers first win for a while and said 'that put smiles on faces.'

Speaking to The Star, he said, 'After all that's been going on this is just what we wanted and needed.

'There was a more positive atmosphere around the training ground last week, which reflected in the performance.

'We wanted to lift the place and this was an immense relief to everybody and helps you forget your troubles.

'We've given the supporters something to cheer about and that's what it's all about. It's been hard to remember that it's all about those ninety minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

'Credit to the players, after all the stick they've had, this was a far better performance. We want to maintain the positivity because there have been too many kicks in the teeth lately.'
