RUFC - 'Taylor showed Persistence'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins has told Ryan Taylor to make sure the goal he got against Grimsby at the weekend will help him step up his game.

Speaking to The Star, Robins said, 'The way he got that goal should help him - he showed persistence, determination and a desire to get at the other side of the defender. Hopefully this was a lesson for him and there's no reason that he can't continue to do that. I say well done to him but I want to see that all the time.

'I asked him to do a job in the second half which was a little bit different for him. He might not like it or enjoy it but it's part of the game and it was an important contribution to the team.'

For Nineteen year old Taylor, who spent a few weeks this season on loan at Burton Albion, it was his sixth goal of the season for the Millers.
