RUFC - Oxley makes England debut

Rotherham United have a new England International Cap holder in their squad after eighteen year old, Mark Oxley, made his debut in the England U18 team that beat Austria 2-0 at Victoria Park, Hartlepool, last night.

The 'keeper came on for the second half of the game and the Millers Manager, Mark Robins told The Star, 'What he had to do he did well. Steve Thornber, our Youth Team Manager, went to see him and he said he wasn't overly busy but he made one good save and claimed a difficult high ball particularly well.

'It was a pleasing first game for him for England and it's good for the football club to have someone representing their country.'

All at Vital Rotherham want to say, 'Well Done, Mark!'

That's true, StevieG, not than many English goalies around are there? Thing is, there are rumours 'big' clubs are after him so he might not be at Millmoor much longer
