'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ryan, 'brilliant to score'

Rotherham United striker, Ryan Taylor, finally ended his goal drought on Saturday at Blundell Park when he scored the only goal of the game to get all three points for the Millers.

The nineteen year old hadn't scored since January and he told The Advertiser, 'It was brilliant to score! I anticipated that the defender was going to head the ball back and I latched onto it and put it into the bottom corner.

'The teams not been doing that well and I've not been playing that well. I know in some games I've done OK then in others I've had bad patches. But consistency comes with the more games you play. If I, and the club, are still here next year I can push on.

'The manager has been getting on at me saying I've not been persistent enough this season. He says I need to be more aggressive but hopefully that will come with age.

'After the win at Grimsby let's hope we can push on and go unbeaten to the end of the season.'
