'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins, 'Hands Off Hudson'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has told the Radio Sheffield that midfielder, Mark Hudson is not for sale.

It has been reported that Hudson's recent form has caught the eye of other clubs but Robins told the BBC that Hudson is still under contract while stressing that it is important to keep the squad together. With the club in administration he knows it is difficult to try and build for next season and he said, 'The sooner things are resolved the better. Then we can start to try and build on what we've got for next season.'

Meanwhile, Mark Hudson told the Official Site that, apart from penalty shootouts, Saturday was the first time he'd taken a penalty. 'I told the lads during the week in training that I wanted to take the penalties,' Hudson said. 'I thought I put it away well.'

Speaking about the up and coming game away at Mansfield he said, 'Mansfield will be fighting for their lives and they need a win. But, we want to finish the season strongly with four wins out of four.

'We've been disappointing in the last few months but I think we've shown over the last couple of games that we can get back to our previous standards.

'Trainings been going well and there's been a sharpness to it that we are all enjoying which I think has shown on the pitch. And an added bonus is that people like Tom Cahill have come in and done well.'
