'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Warrington 'Great news`

Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington, said the news of a preferred bidder for the club was 'just great`. It was announced yesterday that the Administrator had decided that ASD Lighting plc had the best to offer the club long term.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, he said, 'I was on the golf course with some of the other lads when the news came through and we are very happy.

'According to what we`ve read in the press, Tony Stewart will be instated on Friday and I expect we will meet him on Saturday at the match.

'We were worried about our jobs, of course we were and we were worried for the supporters too. But at no point did any of the players give up and it hurt them when they heard people were saying this. There`s a lot of young lads here and in the lower league the young lads get a chance to perform and there were concerns all around. Now we hope this has all come to an end now the club has been saved. And they are local people and it`s good that they are involved.

'It`s been nice to get three very good wins lately. I think we will be well supported for the last game of the season with everyone out in force.

'We will be able to go into next season positive and hopefully we can keep the squad together for next season and maybe add a couple of new faces. And we should have a good chance. '
