'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Murdock-Survival Is In Our Hands.

Rotherham United captain colin murdock is looking for a bumper crowd at millmoor tomorrow- a game he insists the millers can take their third straight win from.

The Millers host local rivals Chesterfield with the threat of liquidation hanging over the club but in decent form on the pitch.

Successive wins over Bournemouth and Swindon have lifted spirits at Millmoor and given them confidence ahead of the Spireites' visit.

Rotherham currently lie second from bottom in League One, but Murdock said: 'Staying up is still in our own hands and we've got to focus on what we do.

'We had a terrible spell earlier this season which resulted in Mick Harford losing his job, but we've found some form now and have to make sure it continues on Saturday. It's a derby and hopefully a big crowd can help us to victory and raise a good amount in gate receipts.'

Rotherham's squad held a meeting with representatives of the Professional Footballers' Association on Wednesday to discuss ways to ease the club's financial burden, with wage deferrals and cuts discussed.

Tickets are still available to all parts of the ground.
