RUFC - Robins on the season
Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, hasn't exactly had an easy time for his first full season as a manager. Starting the season with practically a complete new team, summer floods which affected both Millmoor and the training ground, going into administration and therefore not being able to get in players in the January transfer market, having ten points taken off....no, not easy.
But, he's got through it and can now start to plan for next season - or he will be able to when it's been decided where the club will actually be playing.
Speaking to the Official Site he said, 'The players deserve a real pat on the back.
'There's only two teams who have had minus points that haven't gone down - Leeds and us. There's a lot to take from that in a season that hasn't delivered what was promised by no fault of our own. Without the minus ten we would have had seventy-four points, which is normally enough to get in the play-offs.
'Next season, we hope to reach the target we set this season. But, we have to see what will happen as there is going to be a challenge for us even before we kick-off.'
