RUFC - Millers to stay at Millmoor?

It looks like Rotherham United will be playing at Millmoor next season after the owner in waiting, Tony Stewart and the landlords, The Booth family have come to an arrangement.

It is likely that a four year agreement will be signed, with an option to stay on for six more years, next week.

Mr Stewart told The Advertiser, 'We have been in discussion for three weeks with the Booth family and we are now comfortable with the conditions in place. We are just waiting for the final details.

'I am not willing to go into further details at this stage but we hope to be in a position to sign by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.'

Providing there are no last minute hitches, the Millers will stop where they've called home for over one hundred years, until the new Community Stadium is built at Parkgate.

Mr Stewart says that the Booth family have agreed to make improvements to Millmoor, although the work won't be major.

'I wouldn't agree to any deal until I thought it was totally right for Rotherham United,' Mr Stewart said.

Good news for you folks? At the very least you will be playing in familiar surroundings, and not in an empty stadium. Already looking forward to the trip next season.
