'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - 'stay as long as you like'

Rotherham United have been told they can stay at Don Valley for as long as they want.

Speaking to The Star, Steve Brailey, chief executive of Sheffield International Venues said, 'There are one or two things still to iron out with the Football Association and the licensing authorities but nothing that will break the deal as far as I'm concerned.

'Rotherham came to us asking for our help and we are happy to give it, and I do appreciate that the situation is far from ideal, but we are used to hosting major events and will be in further talks with the football club to see what they require and how we can look after them.

'We're happy to have them here as long as they want to stay.'

Looks a nice stadium according to the website - does it hold 50,000?

The Official Don Valley site says it holds 50,000, codbater, but I thought I read somewhere where it was 30,000? I hope they have enough room set aside for our overspill!!!
