RUFC - Robins 'Make our own atmosphere'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, wants the fans to follow the team to Don Valley.

It is said that the stadium has no atmosphere and, speaking to The Star, Robins said, 'This is a temporary move and we have to make our own atmosphere.

'We are assembling a stronger squad than last season and these players are looking to achieve something.

'We want the supporters to follow us to Don Valley and we hope we can improve on the magnificent numbers that we had last season.

'There will come a stage when our new stadium will start to take shape and we can still look forward to an exciting future.'

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, yesterday, Robins said that the friendly fixture list might be affected if some of the teams didn't feel they could risk their first team squads on the pitch at Don Valley.

'We have to make sure we are in a position where the playing surface is good enough so that we aren't embarrassed when entertaining other clubs,' he said.

I'm not really sure cb - I know it did when it was first opened but think they made it smaller. We are having 7,000 seats.

You need to find out where all the fans who are wanting to sing and cheer your lads on. Then make that the area to really get the lads going. You don't want everyone dotted area the ground.
