'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Stewart 'Get Behind Us!'

Rotherham United's new Owner and Chairman, Tony Stewart, says that he's done the hard work and found somewhere for the Millers to play. He now wants the fans to come and get behind the team.

'Rotherham will lose money,' Mr Stewart told The Advertiser, 'but it's not my job to go round rattling cans. It's about getting sustainability with regard to the commercial side of the club.

'Of course it's important what happens on the field, but we want more people to participate and buy into the club. The fan aspect is a big part of it.

'When we went to look at Don Valley, four or five weeks ago, it ticked all the boxes and we were happy with it.

'Don Valley are bending over backwards to help us and, unlike the Booths, they have welcomed us.

'We are looking forward to moving to Don Valley and we are sure the people visiting will feel the benefit and see the differences. It just all feels right.'
