RUFC - ' Smith - 'We're delighted to have you'

Rotherham United will move to Don Valley next season with the stadium boss, Pat Smith saying he is delighted we are moving there.

'Don Valley is a busy stadium,' Mr Smith told The Advertiser, 'with activities going off most days of the week. But staging League Two football won't be a problem and we can fit you in.

'We have sat down and looked at the way it will work and everything will drop into place. The requirements of the licensing authority fill a list as long as your arm but there won't be a problem.

'The pitch is surrounded by the athletics track which could be an issue for some fans but they will get used to it.

'We have bars and restaurant areas for the fans, a boardroom and lounge area for the directors and their friends. And we could see the launch of a facility serving pre-match meals for say a 500 club.

'Until they are able to move back to their own ground in Rotherham we are delighted to have the Millers here and hopefully Rotherham United will fit in well.'

The Millers 'home' end will be the main stand which has a large concourse bar area and food outlets for match days. Away supporters will be sited to the right of the main stand and have their own gates to go through with plenty of facilities for disabled fans.

It must feel nice to be wanted, pity the owners of Millmoor couldn't have been so accommodating

Whats happened regarding the season tickets you have already sold? Do Rotherham get any say in how Don Valley is run?
