'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'one regret'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has one regret about leaving Millmoor for Don Valley.

Speaking to The Star, he said he would miss the Millmoor pitch. 'We were spoilt with the pitch at Millmoor,' Robins said. 'But, I'm sure the ground staff at Don Valley and our own ground staff will liaise and provide us with the best possible surface.'

Already there has been concern from the visiting teams for the pre-season friendlies about the pitch at Don Valley with some of the clubs saying they may not send their first teams.

I suppose with the Eagles playing rugby on the pitch and training on it too, it could scuff it up a bit. But, we should be used to that, having had the Titans lodging at Millmoor with us for a season. I think the more important fact to consider is the swirling wind that seems to be part of Don Valley, which could make it difficult to play the high ball.

Yes, yes I do, Dazza. Firstly because we were told it was a big possibility we would be going back there next season - secondly, although a lot of them went on the pitch I had to dash off cos I was helping at the do in the RUFC suite afterwards

I know what its like to finally leave whats been your home for years and years. When Donny left Belle Vue at least we got to say a proper goodbye.

After we'd been told we were stopping and in the next breath told we weren't I felt very angry. That's subsided a bit now and I just feel cheated - but, tbh, it's not the first time I've felt like that being a Rotherham supporters - but I do hope it's the last
