Vital Rotherham Polls

Our recent polls were about the Champions League Final, the play-offs and Don Valley -here are a few of them -

We asked who would win the Champions League Final! and who was the man of the match

nearly half of those who voted said they weren't interested in it while 34% thought Chelsea would beat Manchester United.

Not interested (41%)
Chelsea (34%)
Man U (25%)

More than half who voted said that Petr Cech in goal for Chelsea was the Man of the Match

Petr Cech - Chelsea (53%)
Cristiano Ronaldo - Man U (13%)
Michael Ballack - Chelsea (13%)
John Terry - Chelsea (6%)
Wayne Rooney - Man U (6%)
Claude Makelele - Chelsea (6%)
Edwin Van der Sar - Man U (3%)

Onto the Play Offs and 75% correctly said that Hull City would get into the Premiership (though I suspect quite a few Hull fans came over and voted!!! and there is nothing wrong with that!)while more than half correctly said that Donny would beat their West Yorkshire rivals and move into the Championship. Most people also were right in saying that Stockport would triumph over Rochdale in the League Two Play-Off

Hull City (75%)
Bristol City (25%)

*****
Doncaster Rovers (58%)
Leeds United (42%)

*****
Stockport (62%)
Rochdale (38%)

The next Poll we had was Of the teams who have gone up via the play-offs, who will do the better? and most who voted think our South Yorkshire neighbours Donny will do the best.

Doncaster Rovers (59%)
Stockport County (22%)
Hull City (19%)

Then at the end of May came the news that the Millers were moving out to Don Valley and we asked the question Who will follow the Millers to Don Valley and the result was

Yes (73%)
No (16%)
I'll give it a try (6%)
Haven't decided yet (5%)

so it looks like most of those who voted will be at our new temporary home with another 11% either not decided or will try it out and see what it's like.

Significant that last one eh. I'd guess the remaining few will drop their objections as soon as you string a few wins together.

I think a lot will depend on, if we have them, how much season tickets are, CTE - I hope they are a sensible price to get people to buy them - maybe even a little less than last season given the extra traveling time and inconvenience of having to cross the border !!!!
