RUFC - New Player Signs In

Rotherham United complete their third summer signing to day with Mark Burchillcoming from Dunfermline.

Burchill is a striker and started his career with Celtic, while going out on loan to Birmingham and Ipswich while he was there. He moved to Portsmouth in 2001 and played twenty-four games for them. While at Pompey he went on loan to Dundee, Wigan, the Owls and to Rotherham where he played three games and scored one goal. He then moved back north to Scotland and Hearts before settling at Dunfermline in 2005 until the end of last season. In his seventy five games for Dunfermline he put the ball in the net twenty-nine times.

Mark has six caps for Scotland making his debut in 1999 against Bosnia-Herzegovnia.

While playing for Celtic he scored the fastest hat-trick in a European match against Jeunesse Esch of Luxembourg in 2000.

looks like quite a good signing. I have noticed quite a few english clubs have started to raid the scottish clubs again.
