RUFC - Millers to train at Donny?

Rotherham United could be training at the Keepmoat according to The Advertiser this morning.

Having had to move out of Hooton Lodge, which was part of the deal with the Booth family, the club have been looking for somewhere to train in Rotherham but nothing appeared to be available so went looking further afield.

Assistant manager, John Breckin and assistant coach, Nick Daws have been to look round the stadium and it's hoped that a deal can be finalised today for the club to stay until the end of the season. After which it is hoped that somewhere nearer Rotherham can be found.

If the deal goes through the Pro and Youth Training will use the Keepmoat. The Centre of Excellence are still looking for somewhere in Rotherham.

'We've used the Keepmoat before for training,' Breckin said, ' when we had problems with the floods. It's a beautiful set up and has everything we need. We will have use of the pitch in the athletics stadium, the number two pitch and the astroturf when needed. We will also have access to the gym, dressing rooms, fitness suite and catering facilities.'

So, training in Donny, playing in Sheffield - the club really does seem to be severing all ties with Rotherham.

Doncaster don't train at the Keepmoat? If they was it would be on the outside pitch. Thats got a running track around it so it would make them feel at home!
