I think a good seat would be in the sand pit of the long and triple jump!! If the games boring at least you could make sand castles!!!!

A friend has been today for a look round, and sat in the lower tier in the rain - got soaked!
herringthorpe
if they was getting soaked why didn't they move?
dazza71
Has it got the accoustics for a good atmosphere?
codbater
He was trying it for authenticity, dazza! When I go for a look round, codbater, I'll take Big Keith and his drum and see about the accoustics for you!
herringthorpe
i cannot see an athletics stadium generating a great atmosphere. It will be too open and too far away from the pitch. Having been to the Withdean and remember going to the Osdal which were both open and far away from the pitch you could not generate any sort of atmosphere.
dazza71
No I agree Dazza but beggers can't be choosers as they say! (Actually, don't tell anyone, but I think we'd have been better trying to share the Keepmoat or Oakwell - at least they are football grounds and geared up to football)
herringthorpe
lol- we should be called wet wet wet

I can tell you after today's visit, it isn't a warm place! Invest in a jumper if you're going!
herringthorpe
At least they're football grounds caz but even further away from Rotherham than Don Valley.I think even less people would have travelled that far.
eebbee
But they are grounds that are geared up for football and we could play opposite their real owners - it was just a thought anyway
