At the moment the stadium is the biggest athletics stadium in the country and the capacity is 50,000, of which 25,000 is seated

It is home to Sheffield Eagles and the temporary home of Rotherham United.

It has hosted Channel 4's The Games and also hosts the Norwich Union Grand Prix athletics event

Although I have been told there is only street parking round the stadium the official website of Don Valley boasts ample parking

The stadium was built for the 1991 World Student Games and named after the nearby River Don. On 29 August 1993 Jan Zelezny threw 95.66 m in the Javelin which was a world record at the time but more famous for nearly hitting TV commentators who were interviewing close by at the time!

The Stadium has also hosted the finals of the British American Football League, BritBowl

Acts such as The Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Michael Jackson and Re Hot Chilli Peppers have held concerts at Don Valley

The Stadium is owned by Sheffield International Venues and owned by Sheffield City Trust.

You'll certainly be in a super stadium, a pity you can't lift it up and plop it down in rotherham.

Are you allowed the 25,000 capacity, Or what are they allowing you to have, just incase you have a decent cup run and get say Man United?

I believe our stand seats 7,000 - but I would imagine if we need the extra at any time there are arrangements in place to use it.
