RUFC - One Thousand Season Tickets Sold

Rotherham United announced the prices for season tickets for Don Valley just a week ago and already nearly one thousand have been sold.

According to a club spokesman, who spoke to The Advertiser, the tickets sold up to now is about half of what was sold last season.

Prospective buyers of season tickets have been invited to go to Don Valley and pick their seat. BUT, it is advisable that you phone the stadium before you travel to make sure there is no event on. The number is 01142 233 600

And there will be no season tickets sold or reserved at Don Valley. Until the end of June you will have to go to Millmoor for season tickets. From next month the tickets will be sold at the new offices at Barbot Hall.

I have to admit that I was very dubious about getting a season ticket - mainly because of not knowing what day and time we would be playing on. I also wanted to see for myself the distance from the stands to the pitch. Having made the trip on Sunday and wandering around the stands I have picked my seat and my season ticket is on order. The view is OK although the seats could do with a wash and it will take me some time to get used to not sitting behind the goal. It is going to seem strange not going to Millmoor and no, I still don't really want to go to Don Valley, but having had the Millers in my life for more years than I care to tell you, how could I not go on the latest adventure with them?

Thats a great response from your fans caz. How many do you normally sell?
dazza71
Around 2,000 I would think. I understand that quite a few sold this season aren't renewals either.
herringthorpe
That is on a par with Lincoln Caz, and 15% of ours are not renewals either.

I think ours will peter out when the first deadline date is over. We've only had two weeks to get them at the cheapest rate.
