RUFC - Robins impressed with Don Valley

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has asked the fans to show support in the move to Don Valley.

Speaking to The Advertiser he said, 'We need the fans to buy into what we are doing and with how the season ticket sales are going they seem to be doing that.'

Speaking about the stadium, he carried on, 'The Don Valley staff have bent over backwards to help us. The facilities for the supporters are good and the players will be able to get ready in proper dressing rooms instead of portakabins.

'The playing surface isn't as good as I'd like but we are working on that. We've been spoilt by the playing surface at Millmoor these last few years, but our new groundsman, Jim Davidson, is going to Don Valley to have a look.' The boss also added that 'the groundsman might have the same name as the comic but he isn't as funny!'

'This is a new chapter for the club and it's something to look forward to.'

So thats what happened to Jim Davidson!! Is John Virgo his assistant at the ground?!?!

I hope not or we'll have pockets at each corner and in the middle where the flag posts should be!

Does that mean Mark Robins would wear a fancy waistcoat and his team talk would be " score as many golas as you can!"

What he does in his private life is nothing to do with me!!!! And I think that probably his part of his team talk!
