Losing The Battle To Survive

Meeting upon meetings have been held but the millers chances of survival have now reached a critical stage.

it was expected that the money raised would be enough, but sadly this as not been the case and our beloved club looks like entering its darkest final hours unless a saviour comes up in the next few days.

This sounds desperate now. I thought the Macc Town situaition was bad but this.... Have Sheff U or Sheff Wed offered any help? The way forward may be with a supporters trust. It could be as a new club, FC Rotherham or whatever though. GOOD LUCK Millers!!!

Good luck to the Millers indeed. Owls fans have contributed around 8 grand so far from a bucket collection at the last two home games.

I've republished your story on our site if that's ok. www.upthecherries.co.uk - I've credited you in the text. If however, you want me to pull it down please contact me via our site. On a personal note - I think this is terrible news, it kind of hits a nerve as we are slowly drifting towards a similar situation. Good luck with everything.

Walsall fans still support your efforts to carry on, we have a lot in common, it is not just about Rotherham, its about the right to have league football remain strong in this country, its also about protecting our heritage.
