RUFC - Fans to be bussed to Don Valley?

Rotherham United are trying to finalise plans that could see them bus fans to their new home at Don Valley, The Star reports today.

The club, who are wanting to forge stronger links with their fans, are looking into the possibility of putting on coaches to the Sheffield stadium.

The pubs around Millmoor, where fans used to drink before games, have also been looking into providing coaches to Don Valley.

At a meeting on Monday evening, Rotherham United Supporters Club, said they were trying to see if First Buses would extend their usual travel package to RUSC Members. This deal was that any member of RUSC could travel free on First Buses anywhere in the Rotherham area, on production of their membership card, two hours before and two hours after a home game. The Supporters Club were hoping to get this extended to go as far as Don Valley.

Before I forget what is the parking like at the DVS???????????
Dean1
It says on the DV site that there is ample parking - but people tell me it's street parking so have no idea! I shall ask when I go to the first friendly game, Dean! (but you might have to remind me!)

I guess its parking at the hallam arena isnt it? is the local going to be the arena pub in sheffield? next to the Hallam FM Arena??
chopper_imp
The Hallam Arena parking is quite expensive chopper. You know more than me about the pubs! The Hallam Arena Pub? I hope we will be a bit nearer than that! There is a pub called the Cocked Hat near to the turnstiles so hopefully we will be able to use that
herringthorpe
If it's anything like the cocked hat in scumthorpe it's dog rough. Hopefully it's not.

I understand it's the pub that the Eagles supporters use - they are the rugby team that play at Don Valley
