Vital Rotherham Polls

Euro 2008 was the subject of some of our polls in June and the first question asked was Will you be watching Euro 2008? and half asked said they wouldn't be watching the competition. Be interesting how that would have changed if any of the home nations had been in the finals. Of the other half who voted, 25% said they would be watching and the other 25% said they would watch if not doing anything else.

More than half said that Spain would win the final with the rest equally saying that the Germans would win the game or they couldn't give a monkeys!

Spain (66%)
Couldn't give a monkeys! (17%)
Germany (17%)

The Man of the Match for the Final went as follows

Torres (Spain) (40%)
Ballack (Germany) (27%)
Xavi (Spain) (12%)
Other Spanish Player (7%)
Other German Player (2%)
Klose (Germany) (2%)
Lehmann (Germany) (2%)
Senna (Spain) (2%)
Podolski (Germany) (2%)
Ramos (Spain) (2%)
Schweinsteig (Germany) (2%)

with Torres coming out on top

We've had four polls about The Millers -

What was your worst moment of last season?

Going into administration again (50%)
Stephen Brogan breaking his leg (40%)
Losing to Forest Green in the Cup (5%)
Other (5%)

I think we were all shocked when we were told we were in administration again and everyone felt for Stephen Brogan when he suffered his terrible injury at MK Dons.

The next two polls were about Season Tickets

Would you still buy a season ticket for next season if they went up...

Surprisingly, 43% of those voted said they wouldn't buy one if they went up at all with 38% saying they would buy one however much they were.

No - not if they go up at all (43%)
Will buy one however much they are (38%)
£20 (12%)
£75 (5%)
£50 (2%)

Then, after the season ticket prices were announced I asked Now the prices have been announced will you get a season ticket?

The results being:
Yes (70%)
No (25%)
Still thinking about it (5%)

I wonder if those who were still thinking about it a couple of weeks ago have decided 'yes' with the amount we have sold.

There was then talk that, after moving to Don Valley, we may not be able to play at 3pm on a Saturday and the next poll asked
IF we can't play at 3pm on a Saturday, what would be your preferred day/time?

Top of this poll was mid-day on a Saturday
with Friday night being the next most popular
Saturday mid-day (46%)
Friday Night (30%)
Saturday Evening (10%)
Sunday (8%)
Monday Night (5%)
Other (1%)

Mid June I posed the question What do you think of the three summer signings?
Nearly half of those who voted said they would 'wait until they'd played a few games' with 25% saying they thought we could have done better. The rest thought it was so-and-so or great!

I hardly watched a game, I never watched the full 90 minutes of any. I must admit I didn't miss missing them either.

I have to say I watched some, the ones i did were extremely entertaining and underlined the gulf which exists with englands 'top' players and those on show.

You don't think England would have done very well from things you've said then CTE - do you think it's because of the foreign players in England? Or could it be that we don't have enough practice time together as a team?
