RUFC - Millers have a Toffee on trial

Rotherham United have a young trialist from Everton at the moment - Stephen Connor.

Stephen is billed in The Advertiser as a right winger although I have been told by a Toffee's fan that he is more of a forward who plays a wide roll.

The nineteen year old, who was released from Everton in the summer, went on loan to Partick Thistle last season but injuries limited him to just three games.

He also had a brief spell at Millmoor last season but after just one reserve game he got an injury and went back to Goodison Park. But, manager, Mark Robins must have liked what he saw as he wants to have another look at him.

The first team reported back for training yesterday at the Keepmoat Stadium.

I think its the way forward for lower league teams to give youngsters from the Premiership a first team chance.
