'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'good workout'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, was happy after the team beat Conference Blue Square side, York City, in a behind closed doors game at the Keepmoat earlier this week.

The Millers won 3-0, goals coming from Mark Burchill, Ryan Taylor and trialist, Drew Broughton.

Speaking to The Advertiser, Robins said, 'It was a good workout. It wasn't really about the result, it was about getting minutes on the pitch. But, it was a good start to our pre-season games.

'It's been difficult at times trying to put everything together but we seem to be getting there and I'm happy with the way things have gone so far.'

Asked about Drew Broughton, who was let go by MK Dons at the end of last season, Robins said, 'We're looking at Broughton. He has good energy levels but he also has other options so we will see how it goes.'

Drew Broughton has played for a few clubs - always wonder about a player who does that
