'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'subdued atmosphere'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, told RotherFM today that the atmosphere, so far, at Don Valley had been 'subdued'.

'We should be getting used to it,' he said, 'but it is very subdued. The atmosphere is very difficult to anticipate. Let's hope we get a real lot of backing for the first League game on Saturday against Lincoln when there are numbers through the gates.'

Can we leave the Millers wins until after saturday please!? Then you can win as many as you like! :O)

I'd say it's inevitable that a ground like the Don Valley Stadium won't have the atmosphere that a proper football ground does. It's just not made for it.

I don't think so, Impish!!! And no, it's not a football ground, monkeyg, but at the moment it's all we've got

No of course, I wasn't having a dig. I know exactly why you need to be playing there. Just saying it's not ideal - hopefully you'll get a proper ground built back in Rotherham sooner rather than later.
