RUFC - Robins 'Atmosphere Excellent'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, said the atmosphere at Don Valley was excellent today after his team came away with all three points.

'The players application was superb today and they deserve a great deal of credit,' he told the Official Site. 'Reuben Reid deserved the honour of hitting the winning strike.

'I felt while we dominated the first half we came under some pressure in the second but when Lincoln came at us we stood firm and Andy Warrington made a great save from a free kick that looked like it was going in the top corner.

'The atmosphere was excellent and the noise echoed across the pitch and if that is a sign of things to come then I think we are in for a decent season.

'We've got a good group of players here but I'd still like to add some more and if I can I think we have a good chance of getting the points back quickly. Nick Fenton is good in the dressing room and I'm sure the supporters will like him. He's a good addition to the squad.

'Today was a great start for us.'
