'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Hudson 'surprised at Owls line-up'

Rotherham United midfielder, Mark Hudson, says the win on Tuesday night was one of the highlights of his career.

He reveals in today's Advertiser, that the team were surprised when they saw the Sheffield Wednesday team sheet, as Owls manager, Brian Laws, had left out a number of first team players. Hudson said, 'We were shocked that Brian Laws had decided to rest a lot of his regular players, I don't know if Sheffield Wednesday can afford to do things like that.

'I think it was a lack of respect for us. It riled us and we wanted to prove a point. And we did - it was quality. We had to stand up and be counted and match Wednesday man for man and we did that, right down to the substitutes.

'A lot of teams are vulneerable when they've just scored and that's what happened to Wednesday but we were devestated when they got their second with minutes to go but we got stuck in and got a lucky break at the end.

'I was confident in the shoot-out as I take our penalties anyway. Pablo Mills and Danny Harrison put the pressure on me a bit because their penalties were struck really well but when Esajas missed it took the pressure off a bit.

'This game was one of the highlights of my career and it was a great result.'
