Rotherham United have appointed ex player, Alan Crawford as chief scout.
Crawford, fifty-four, joined the Millers as a schoolboy, making his debut for the club in 1973. He made a remarkable spell of one hundred and sixty nine consecutive appearances - which was three full seasons without missing a game. He also holds the club record for a winger of scoring thirty-one goals in a season. Unfortunately, he had a disagreement with the manager and moved to Chesterfield. He also played for Bristol City and Exeter City before hanging up his boots.
Since giving up football he has been chief scout with Bristol City and has coached at Leicester and Nottingham Forest.
Vital would like to welcome Alan back to his home town!
