RUFC - Robins 'excellent first half'
Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, said his team had an excellent first half but looked jaded in the second half, after their three-one win over Chester City this afternoon at Don Valley.
Speaking to the Official Site,, Robins said, 'We immediately put Chester on the back foot by scoring early which gave us a huge lift. I was particularly pleased to see that it came from a set piece.
'Drewe Broughton and Micky Cummins got their chance today due to illness (Ryan Taylor and Pablo Mills) and with their performances today they have staked a claim for a regular place. We had to take Drewe off which meant Reuben Reid had to carry on although he looked tired as well. Because of this we had to sit back in defence a little but overall I thought it was a good performance. With all the chances created the scoreline could have been six-three.
'We aren't looking at the table at the moment - we will just take each game as it comes. We have made a good start and are happy with the way things are progressing. But, there is a long way to go.'
